BOFFING Rules and Weapon standards for Cornwall Park
Bellingham
Weapon Construction
- 1/2 inch to 1 inch single PVC core.
- At least 1 inch of foam on striking areas.
- At least 1/2 inch on non-striking, non-handle areas.
- 2 inches of foam between the end of the PVC and the point of the weapon.
- All foam must be covered in duct tape.
- The striking surface of the weapon must be designated by a different color
tape then the rest of the weapon.
- All end points on the weapon must be larger than an eye socket.
- when taping the foam on to a weapon you should tape along the length of
the weapon and not pull the foam tight to the PVC (i.e. don't spiral wrap)
Rules specific to Cornwall Park
- if a shield or a gauntlet get hit 3 times in combat the shield is dropped
and considered broken.
- weapons that can break shields and gauntlets would be Battle axes , 5
foot two handed swords such heavy and hard wield weapons
designed to break armor. Lances do not do shield damage.
